The Third Annual Olive Hill Area Chamber of Commerce “It’s Fall Y’all!” Vendor and Craft Festival committee will meet on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Regional Kentucky Works office at 333 Warrior Drive in Olive Hill (near West Carter High School).  The meeting is open to the public and volunteers are still needed.  Vendors are still being accepted for the festival, however, there are no more openings for food vendors. The Chamber is hosting an “Empower Your Business” Marketing Workshop on Friday, Sept. 13 at noon. Christopher Pereyra with Empower Athletics will be conducting the workshop which will teach businesses, nonprofits, etc. strategies to utilize the internet to advertise and promote yourself. This will be held at the Depot and is free to all Olive Hill Chamber members.  The cost is $10 for nonmembers. Contact the Chamber for more information or to RSVP at (606) 315-5787 or via Facebook.

Relay for Life of Carter County will be held at the Carter County Shrine Park (155 Samuel L Waggoner Memorial Drive) on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. with special guest MaKenzie Thomas from The Voice.

Olive Hill City Council regular monthly meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. The meeting is held at the Olive Hill Senior Citizens Center.

On Thursday, Sept 26, “The Fear No More Tour” with Building 429, Stars Go Dim, and We Are Vessel will be held at West Carter High School at 7 PM. Tickets are available at www.itickets.com

Saturday, Sept. 28 will feature the Carter County Shrine Club (155 Samuel L Waggoner Memorial Drive) hosting a Fun Horse Show. Registration opens at 1 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 per person with ages 12 and under admitted free. The Olive Hill Chamber congratulates Todd and Wanda Antrobus on the one-year anniversary of The Drive-In (Sept. 1) and on their brand new shop “Stylish Stitches” (located at 115 Mills Street) which the Chamber hopes to have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for soon.
