First of all, I want to thank everyone who stopped by to read my column. Mind the dust as we setup our operation.
I have been itching to get back into community journalism after spending nearly two years living in Northern Kentucky. I moved back in April and I couldn’t be happier.
I have been working as an assistant manager at a local aftermarket auto parts supplier for about a year now. While the job is not bad and I do enjoy it, I find that I miss covering news, feature stories and events hosted here in this grand area we call Carter County. For the time being, I’ll keep my current job until hopefully one day this endeavor takes off and I can make it a full-time dream.
Our aim with this freshly published news website is to bring the most up-to-date information we can possibly find to you, every day. It is as simple as that. We plan on using as many 21st Century technologies as we can lay our hands on to bring you top-quality, balanced, fair and accurate news.
For the moment, I know our website seems somewhat devoid of content. I am working diligently to post more content. I’ll gather as much as I possibly can in the current limits of my schedule.
There may be familiar faces showing up on our website soon, too. I have been working with several former colleagues to find ideas and pathways to make this the best news source for you in all matters regarding Carter County.
I’ll keep this column brief. Thank you again for stopping by. Please share our website with your friends, family and co-workers and maybe together we can help step Carter County another foot forward into 21st Century.
I’ll see you in the field.
